We are a market garden based in Haywood, DN5. We sell edible and cut flowers, veg boxes, herbs and salads.
Our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) veg box subscriptions will run from 27th May until 23rd December. Monthly subscriptions are £58 a month which is the equivalent of £13.92 a week, 50 weeks of the year.
Our veg boxes are delivered to your door on a Tuesday 50 weeks of the year (no deliveries 22nd July & 30th December).
We grow a wide variety of vegetables, some of which you will be familiar with and others that are more unusual. Don’t worry though, our weekly newsletter will give you tips on how to prepare what’s in your box and point you to recipe ideas. We supply 80% of the produce from our farm. We buy the rest of the veg from British organic farms and we include details of where the produce has come from in our weekly newsletter.
Alongside your veg box we can deliver a 250g bag of fresh salad for £3 and a punnet of herbs for £2. We will also have one-off additions of garlic and chillis which we will let you know about through our weekly veg box newsletter.
We also offer a cut flower subscription for £30 a month. You will receive a bucket of flowers for you to arrange on the second and last Tuesdays of the month.
Community supported agriculture (CSA) is a partnership between farmers and consumers. It connects the producer and the consumer more closely by allowing you to subscribe to a share of the farms harvest. Rather than buying a weekly veg box, consumers become CSA members by paying a monthly subscription, and share in the highs and lows of producing seasonal food (watch out for bumper bean harvests!). This means that everyone benefits. Farmers get a more stable income, consumers are more connected to their food, and vegetable waste is reduced.
